Cat Bells from Friar’s Crag

Cat Bells from Friar’s Crag

a walk around derwentwater

An absolute classic, way-marked walk on flat easy paths. Although this is a 10 mile circular walk there are plenty of opportunities to pick up a Keswick Launch from one of the 8 jetties along the route - if tired legs require it. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous/energetic on the other hand, you can always add in the short, sharp steep climb to the top of Cat Bells (451 m). Located on the western shore, Cat Bells offers outrageous and panoramic views over Derwentwater, Keswick and Borrowdale.
